Before purchasing or using any CatProxies service, you are responsible for verifying that your target website, platform, or application is accessible through the selected proxy product. Restrictions vary depending on the proxy type.
We strongly recommend testing your target use case with a smaller plan before purchasing larger packages.
Global Network Restrictions
The following restrictions apply across all proxy products unless stated otherwise:
- Government websites and all
.govdomains - Banking and financial institution websites
- Email-related ports, including but not limited to:
- Port 25
- Port 465
- Port 587
- Port 2525
- Port 110
- Port 143
- Port 993
- Port 995
These restrictions exist for compliance, abuse prevention, and network stability reasons.
Product-Specific Restrictions
Mobile Proxies
Mobile proxies include additional restrictions due to carrier-level policies and abuse prevention systems.
Blocked categories include:
- Financial services and payment platforms
- PayPal
- Stripe
- Online banking portals
- Cryptocurrency exchanges and related services
- Government websites
- Major streaming platforms such as Netflix
- Certain high-risk services and gaming platforms
Only the following ports are available on mobile proxies:
- Port 80 (HTTP)
- Port 443 (HTTPS)
All other ports are blocked.
Custom ISP Proxies
Custom ISP proxies block the following kinds of websites:
- Banks and credit unions
- Online banks and money apps
- Credit cards and card payments
- Payment services and wallets
- Money transfer services
- Crypto exchanges and crypto payments
- Stock brokers and investing
- Government sites and central banks
- Insurance and tax services
- Postal services
- Some retailers and restaurants
- Some airlines
- Some game and software checkouts

Dedicated ISP Proxies
Dedicated ISP proxies currently do not block specific websites or platforms. However, port restrictions still apply.
Standard Residential Proxies
Standard residential proxies block the login and sign-up pages for Microsoft and Apple accounts, so you can't log in to or create a Microsoft account or an Apple ID through them.
Standard Residential is a budget option. The IPs come from a large shared pool, so some websites with strict anti-bot checks may block them more often than Premium Residential IPs. If your target site is strict, test it with a small plan first.
Port restrictions still apply.
Premium Residential X Proxies
Access to certain categories of websites and services is restricted on Premium Residential Proxies. Restricted categories include, but are not limited to:
- Government and .gov websites
- Gaming console networks (e.g. PlayStation)
- Email ports (SMTP and IMAP: 25, 465, 587, 993)
Other categories, including banking, streaming, ticketing, gambling, and crypto, may work but are not guaranteed and can be restricted or degraded at any time without notice.
Dedicated ISP pools (available in the Premium Residential X Proxies)
The Dedicated ISP pools inside Premium Residential X have their own rules. The government and gaming console restrictions above do not apply to them.
- Major ticket sellers are blocked, including Ticketmaster, Live Nation, AXS and SeatGeek.
- Use the special Tickets pool for ticketing.

CatProxies does not guarantee access to any specific website, domain, or service. Suitability for a given use case cannot be guaranteed prior to purchase, and access restrictions do not constitute grounds for refunds.
Datacenter Proxies
Datacenter proxies restrict:
- Banks, payment processors and other financial services websites
- Government websites and all .gov domains
- Advertising and tracking domains, including Doubleclick, Appsflyer and Adtelligent
- Email and webmail providers, including Yahoo and Outlook
- Microsoft account login and sign-up pages, Office and OneDrive, so you can't log in to or create a Microsoft account through them
- Any port other than 80 (HTTP) and 443 (HTTPS)

Speed limits
Datacenter proxies normally run at 300 to 500 Mbps. Unlimited Bandwidth plans come with a monthly amount of full-speed traffic based on how many proxies you have. If you go over it your speed may be reduced. Check the table in our Fair Usage Policy to see how much your plan includes.
Concurrent connection limits
All datacenter plans include a default cap of 1,000 concurrent connections (threads), regardless of plan size or bandwidth allocation. This limit applies across the entire proxy list on the account.
Plans with the higher concurrency add-on receive 10 concurrent connections per proxy. For example, a 1,000-proxy plan with the add-on allows up to 10,000 concurrent connections in total.
IPv6 Proxies
IPv6 proxies restrict:
- Banks, payment processors and other financial services websites
- Government websites and all .gov domains
- Advertising and tracking domains, including Doubleclick, Appsflyer and Adtelligent
- Email and webmail providers, including Yahoo and Outlook
- Any port other than 80 (HTTP) and 443 (HTTPS)
Some Microsoft services are blocked on our IPv6 proxy products, depending on location.

Speed limits
Unlimited IPv6 plans run at the speed of the plan you buy, up to 1,000 Mbps. Each Unlimited plan is for one customer or organization. Sharing one plan across many unrelated users can get it slowed down, restricted or blocked. Full details are in our Fair Usage Policy.
IPv6 Compatibility Information
Not all websites support IPv6 connectivity. Before purchasing any IPv6 proxy package, you should verify that your target website supports IPv6 access.
Important Notice
Proxy compatibility depends on many external factors outside our control, including:
- Target website restrictions
- Anti-bot systems
- ASN and IP filtering
- Geo-blocking
- Session behavior
- IPv4 or IPv6 support
- Carrier and upstream network policies
Because of this, we strongly recommend testing with smaller plans before purchasing larger packages.
Refunds are generally not issued for incompatibility with specific websites, platforms, or use cases that were not tested beforehand.
